It's only a short walk from the 'Matlock Bath' car park along the main road and then over a bridge and through a tunnel to the cable car station! There are some very imposing cliffs along the way to keep you entertained! The ride to the top in the cable car is pretty spectacular but over in 5 minutes if you are not too keen!
We were lucky enough to get an amazing sunny day and I can honestly say the view from the Heights of Abraham are truly amazing! We went to the top of the prospectors tower and I'll be honest the stairs are pretty scary as there are no handrails on the inside edge!
The two available mine tours are short so small kids don't get too bored (around 25 mins each) but very informative so good for all ages!
There are lots of attractions to break up your day. 2 amazing play parks for the kiddies to burn off some energy and give the adults some downtime! There is a cool gallery and a fossil display with different geological keepsakes to purchase (we got some magnet stones and a couple of crystals for a tenner!).
