When I first obtained a camper van I headed for the highlands of Scotland. I love the mountain regions of the U.K. and I especially love the Scottish wilds. As a bonus you can pretty much camp anywhere as long as you don't obstruct the highway.
All of the mountains surrounding lake Derwent are spectacular, especially on a sunny summers day such as this one!
Tryfan is good for thrill seekers. It's super easy to find and you are on the mountain straight out of the car, be warned- I recommend a good stretch even if that's not your 'thing', you don't get any time for your legs to warm up and it is a killer!
Tryfan is one of those mountains where you never really take the same route twice, even if you try! I recommend you do your research if you are not too keen on anything challenging or overexposed, you don't want to find yourself on the North Ridge! There are easier routes if you so desire. Between me & you, you haven't really bagged Tryfan unless you jump from 'Adam to Eve', you will know what I mean when you get there...
If you would like some advice on the best route for the North Ridge, check out this article on the BMC website. https://www.thebmc.co.uk/how-to-scramble-tryfans-north-ridge
These are a collection of moments where the landscape said to me " You need to get a panorama of this!" You know, those moments with a wall to wall epic view! - Explore More U.K.
