Dumfries & Galloway is fast becoming one of my favourite places in the U.K. because there are next to no people there!
The ocean and coastline in this area is so clean and rich with nature, I pretty much see something new every time I go for a wander.
We found a starfish and numerous crabs. The coast near to castle point is mostly rocky, but when the tide is out there are a couple of cool sandy beaches.
We took a drive to Portpatrick as I've always wondered what's over there and I'm glad that I did, what an amazing quaint little village. I'm pretty sure I'll be visiting this village again.
Once the mist cleared you could see the whole village in all its glory from up on the cliffs near to an epic hotel.
All of the people we encountered were so friendly and the ocean was an awesome blue colour. It looked very inviting.
The boys loved wildlife hunting amongst all the rock-pools and there are surprises to be found everywhere.
